Resident Pet Therapy
Diane Krause of Horseheads, NY and her four-year-old German short-haired pointer, Emma have become quick friends of the Appleridge community. Diane and Emma have warmed the hearts of our residents on their weekly pet therapy visits. Emma is a volunteer therapy dog that is trained and registered to visit schools, hospitals, and settings similar to Appleridge. Diane understands the benefits pets bring to lives of people especially seniors, and wants to share the warmth, love and friendship that she has with Emma to others. Each week Emma shares tricks, licks and develops new friendships with residents here at Appleridge.
